I've not long found out in my 30th year that I have a sister that was adopted at birth.
She was born in September 1969 and called Jacqueline Anne in St Margarets Greenock to my mother Patricia Rankin. She wasn't allowed to stay with the baby and relied on secret letters from a girl she got close to keeping her up to date.
She was adopted at 6 weeks of age to she believes a nurse and her husband from the Glasgow area.
My mother has suffered terrible nervous problems all her life since this and has feared trying to trace my sister in case of rejection.
If this is of any relevance to anyone or indeed if Jacqueline herself is reading this please consider contacting me.
I was brought up an only child and always asked for a brother and sister, now I know I do have one I'd love to get the chance to make up for years and years of lost time.

Father's name: Joseph Scott - moved to england?
Mother was divorced with 2 children - one lived with her and one lived with her ex husband as far as I'm aware. |

| Looking for my half brother who was born in The Nursing Home, Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh, On the 20th of June 1950. His name given at birth was Phillip Holburn and his birth mother was Katherine Forbes Holburn and was put up for adoption.Phillip will probably not be aware that I exist but would love for him to get in touch. |
