I am trying to trace my fathers ancesters. His name was Alexander Lee Scott. He died in September 1973. His father was Thomas Croft Scott who died around 1960 and his mother was Violet Smith Scott who died a few weeks before my father.
Any information would be appreciated. |

I am researching my Thomson descendants mainly fron Newburgh,Foveran and Old machar(all in Aberdeenshire).My Great Grandfather Frederic Thomson was born in 1860 in Foveran can find nothing else until he married my Great Grandmother in 1914 in London.Have loads of info for the rest of his family if anyone is researching the same name in those areas.
They were mainly a seafaring family. |

I wonder if you can help!
I am building my family tree on http://www.genesconnected.co.uk/ (just this month) and creating a Web Site offline, dedicated to the name Donnelly for my Grand Children so they will know there Ancestors…….
all my relatives come from Dundee in Scotland
My aunty Elizabeth Donnelly, was married to a James Lowe, I was led to believe I had cousins, Elizabeth, David, and Jimmy Lowe living in Dundee (I’m still not sure if its Lowe or Low) I had never met this aunt Elizabeth, or her husband…I do know she had brothers, Edward, Joe, George, (my father) Patrick, James and a sister Anne Donnelly see below…
I met my cousin James/Jimmy/Jim Lowe in Dundee Scotland 4 years ago, he was aged about 58-62 years approximately, I’m 59 years this year, (I wished I had got his address or his email addy then) he was a beneficiary to my Aunt’s Will after her death (Anne Donnelly married name Rourke originally from Lochee Dundee, and had no childern) she lived in Sterling Street Dundee before she died in a nursing home in Monifieth very near Dundee, I think.
I have also looked on the internet for the following Edward Donnelly born c1883 approx - died 1954 approx that’s my Grand Father and the name Swan (my mothers maiden name) Swann (not sure about this name) Low (not sure if this is related) Elizabeth McCormick or McCormack (i believe is my Grand Mothers maiden name) I think I should be looking for my Grand Mothers details under Elizabeth McCormick, I have a lot to do
I have a lot of work to do, but I’m enjoying……..
Any help would be appreciated.
