Looking for information on Isabella DICKSON, born between 1848 and 1854 in Roxburgh, but not sure whether county or town. Her parents were Alexander and Mary. She married into my family in 1888, at which time she was Matron at one of Sydney's hospitals. We do not know when she left Scotland, but I suspect it was after she had trained as a nurse. The earliest employment I have so far found for her in Sydney is 1883, when she was a Sister. Her tombstone says she died 1933 aged 83, but her marriage cert says she was 33 at the beginning of 1888. I have possibly found her family on the IGI, but that Isabella was born 1848. I am trying to build up a dossier on her, as I have found a medallion dated 1897 amongst my mother's possessions, and am returning it to the hospital which presented it, but would like to know a bit about Bella, too. Any help appreciated.
Carol
