I am trying to trace the Cumming familly back from my Grandfather and Grandmother without God help me , spending any money. I know Scotish records are the best in the world and there must be places where they can be extracted. My Grandfather, Andrew Cumming came to Canada on a Ship called the Minnedosa in 1930, followed by my Grandmother and the kids in 1932 on a ship called the Athenia.Her maiden name was Katherine Orr, and I would be interested in going back in that direction also.

I am trying to trace a John McGrath who was born in 1944 ish. Believed to be from Glasgow originally but did move around a lot. Any information gratefuly recieved.

I am researching the Connell/Mcconnell family from Dreghorn, Ayr, Scotland. Is there any body that can help out with David Connell m.Janet nee Stewart, 31-12-1858 Dreghorn. only child known, Janet Stewart Connell, b. 4-3-1864. She married
John Bennie in 1881 Dreghorn.
Would appreciate any info, Janet Stewart Bennie nee Connell was my g/grandmother. |

| TURNBULL descendants. Margaret Wilkinson Gemmell (dob 1893 Greenock, Scotland) married James Craig Turnbull (dob 1891, dod 3/13/1960) on 8/31/1917 in Alexandria Scotland. They had a son Alexander Gemmell Turnbull dob 12/13/1919. He married Agnes Stewart . She had a brother Allan G Stewart. They all resided in and about Clydebank, Alexandria area. Trying to find children of Alex and Agnes Turnbull. |

| CAIRNS, HODGES & ANDERSON. three sisters (nee GEMMELL we think) Catherine married Thomas Cairns, Sarah married ? Anderson and Tillie married William Hodges. Possibly born in Ireland then went to Scotland before they emigrated to Philadelphia, Pa in the states. They all lived in Philadelphia. They had a brother stayed in Scotland, Alexander Gemmell (he married Maria Vance in July 6, 1892). Parents were: Alexander & Hannah (nee Wilson) Gemmell. All 3 sisters were born in & around the 1860's. trying to gather info on any of the 3 women. |

Trying to find him. Had sister Margaret McArthur Young CORMACK dod. 1998. Brother John Coats Young, dod 11/29/1981. Any info on his whereabouts greatly appreciated.

I am researaching my family tree and stuck on a branch ha ha. Ok, I am looking for any details on Alexander Reid who was married to Ann (Annie) nee Edward. I only know of one son by the name of John. On John's marriage cert, it is listed that he was born in Alyth, Perthshire Scotland. John was 26 when he married a Mary Ann Leary in Gympie, Queensland Australia in 1890. That means John was born around 1863/64? Trying to find out when Alexander and Annie came to Australia. Alexander was listed as being a farm servant. John was listed as being a miner. Any info anyone can come up with on Alexander and Annie re their parentage and siblings etc would be greatly appreciated.
