I am working on my Forbes Family History.
I currently need any information regarding the parents of my Great,Great Grandfather - John Forbes. Info I have now on John:
Born - Aberdeen, Scotland - Sept 3, 1808
Graduated from University of Edinburgh - Divinty
Married - Janet Yeoman - May 29, 1836 - Parish of Monymusk, Aberdeen, Scotland.
Never did join the Ministry.
Emmigrated to North Sydney(North Bay), Nova Scotia, Canada approx. 1849-1852
Was 1st Postmaster at North Sydney
Died, at North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada - Oct. 23, 1880.
I just cannot find any leads to who his parents may have been - My Great, Great, Great Granfather & GrandMother.

Hello - I am trying to help my mom locate an old friend. She last saw this women in 1955 in England - the year my mom was married - My mom saw her sister two years ago and asked if she had seen her and was told she moved back to Scotland. Her maiden name then was Barbara Morrison. If anyone has any leads or locations I may start my search please email me. My mom and dad will be celebrating their 50th anniversary soon and it would be a great surprise!

I am trying to trace my ancestors, particularly Connected to my Great Grandfather:- Patrick Casey, who married Margaret Connelly in Dundee 1902. They had a son (my grandfather) James Casey Snr. Who Married Agnes Cummiskey in Glasgow 1933.
They had My father "James Casey" Jnr, who married Barbara Gilliland. (had 5 Daughters). My Grandfather James Casey had a sister Helen who married a William Gentles. Are you connected to my family? Has anyone got any information on theses names?

| I am looking for info re my gtgrandfather George Milne born Scotland 1857. His parents were William Milne (a farmer) and Isabella Stanhope. Has anyone any knowledge of this marriage please. Can only give George's birth as a rough idea of their marriage date. George died in Royal Infirmary Glasgow in July 1888. He was then married to Anastasia (nee Roche). Many thanks. |
