My gg grandfather, William Stewart. Born about 1816, dies in Missouri in Sept of 1872. The census records tell me he was born in Ireland. I can find all kinds of info' for when he lived in the United States but I can only find them on census in Scotland. I know he married Margaret Taylor in Lanark, Scotland, in Bethel. They brought all their children with them when they crossed the water in 1851. I even have the ship's name. The problem is I cannot go any further. If anyone can help me with this one, I would appreciate it. |
