Looking for info on the forebears of James Alexander Stephenson, b.circa 1885, son of Robert Stephenson and Emily Jane Grant. He lived in Glasgow at12 Grovepark Street and in 1921 married Elsie Laura Mellor, at which time he was a ship's steward, as was his father.If any of this rings any bells please get in touch, thanks,

Thomas and Sarah Maxwell early 1800.We believe he was a ship builder. Thomas was thought to have originated from Aberdeen. Does anyone have a Thomas from this area and era? He set sail on the whaling barque "Harriet" to New Zealand via Australia departing and arriving sometime between 1817 and 1837(sorry no supporting documentation located to verify the date)
We, his New Zealand decendants believe he travelled in the company of a brother or cousin, perhaps both. It is felt his companion/s settled in another country enroute to NZ -USA or Australia perhaps?
Hi wife was not with him so one assumes she had died prior to his leaving Scotland or during the voyage. If you have a Thomas Maxwell married to Sarah in your chart for this period we would be interested in hearing from you. regards Joy |

I'm searching for info on Isabella Robertson Matheson, b. April 21, year is approx. 1890. She was born in Muchalls, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and married Kenneth Matheson date unknown. I don't have her parents names or any siblings if she had any. She had ONE son that I know of, named Harry Matheson b. Feb. 10, 1917. His daughter, Evelyn, is a dear friend of mine, my pen pal in Scotland. She does not have access to a computer so I am helping as much as I can with her search. Interesting twist of fate, I have Robertsons in my family history as well and we are trying to find out if our Robertsons blended and we are related. ANY help from anyone is so much appreciated. Thank you!

I am looking for information on my grandparents James Roberton (B. 1871 Cambusnethan, Lanark)and Janet Robertson (nee Douglas) (B. 1871 Glasgow). I believe they were married abt 1902 in Blythswood,Glasgow. Their daughter Isabella Love was born in 1907 at Larkhall. They emigrated to NZ some time after 1907 and their son James was born there.
