| Looking for family information for Isabella YOUNG. Married William BLANE in Auchinleck, Ayrshire in June 1856. She was born about 1836 supposedly in Glasgow, Lanarkshire. To add to the confusion different names have been given for her parents - Charles Young and Mary Pollock on her marriage certificate and Andrew Young and ...... Pollick on her death certificate. Her shipping list shows her parents as Charles and Susan. Her mother had died at the time of her marriage. We tend to believe that her parents were Charles Young and Mary Wallace - Mary Pollock was her husband's mother's name. We cannot locate any entries in OPR's or Census returns so far for either her parents marriage or her birth or siblings. She was living at Sorn at the time of her marriage - domestic servant. Any help greatly appreciated. |

Hi I am trying to trace an old school friend for my mother Mary/May Ferguson m.s.MEIKLE b.1926. The only details I have are as follows:
Betty RENNIE/ROSS? lived and went to school in Dyce village. Her family had a shop in Dyce. At some stage Betty worked as a nanny for the MC GREGOR family. Mum believes the family moved to New Macher after a fire at the shop.

I am looking for anyone in my family. FORREST is the last name. I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on March 18th 1959. My fathers name is William Forrest and my Mum's name is Mary Forrest. I have another 10 brothers and sisters all either fostered or adopted out.I met some of them in 1976 and lost touch. One brothers name is Dennis, sister Mary nan and April. I think one brother Sandt emigrated to Canda before 1980. If anyone has information to help me please contact me.

| Looking for an old friend Mark Robert Frith who used to live at Almalyka in Leven Fife. Had brother called alistair and twin sisters Lynn and Karen. Worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland in Glenrothes and Lundin Links. Will be about 43years old. Possibly lived in Aberdeen for a while maybe near Glasgow now. | I have an ancestor named Jane Smith who lived in Paislet Scotland. This is the story told in our family. Prince Doane was born in Saybrook Conn. in 1760 and in 1780 his father sent him to Glascow Scotland on business with his firm. While there he met Jane the daughter of William Smith the head of the Glascow firm and when he returned Jane eloped with him. Some sources say she was from Paisley. I would appreciate any information about this Smith family. |
