I am researching the family of William Davidson of Midmar Castle who was a Provost of Aberdeen, his daughter Elizabeth married Alexander Innes in 1768. I need to know if the Davidsons of Midmar had family lines that eventually settled in Northumberland.
I hope to prove a connection to the Davison's of Northumberland the middle letter "D" was dropped by the Northumberland family lines.
Robert Edward Davison was born 22 July 1856 at Johnston Lodge, Lawrencekirk, Kincardine son of Charles Edward Davison of Alnwick Northumberland and Sarah Seton Chisholm. Johnston Lodge was owned by descendants of Elizabeth Davidson of Midamar Castle.
Any help in this quest would be very much appreciated.

Looking for all related families of: Croall, Dobbs, Montgomery, Cuthill, Cathill and Bremner. THEY PARTED WHEN I WAS ABOUT A YEAR OLD. I WAS KNOWN BY THE SURNAME OF SPEEDY THEN DOCHERTY TILL I WAS 20/ I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT ANYTHING ABOUT MY FATHER WHO I LAST SAW WEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD. MY GRANDPARENTS ON MY FATERS SIDE WHERE CALLED JOHN AND JENNEI. | I am trying to find family in Scotland or USA. John Wood was my grandfather he was related to Jenny Wren or Rennie also from Scotland. John was from Glasgow born around 1902 and came to New England USA in his teens. |

Alexander Andrew MD
I am looking for information regarding my Grandfather, Alexander Andrew MD. Family stories relate that he came to South Africa during the Anglo Boer war with the Highland Brigade as a Doctor; He was at some stage the Doctor in a concentration camp where he met my Grandmother who was an interned Boer woman and after the war, he married her.
I was also told that Granpa had a brother who started and owned the company that manufactured Andrew's Liver Salt. I know it was still on the market in the 1950s.
My mother corresponded with cousins in the UK, one of whom was a Veterinarian in London. My parents visited family in Kilmarnock in the 1950s.
I lost contact with my Scottish relatives after my mother's death.
Help in tracing any information regarding my Scots ancestry and possibly relatives will be very greatly appreciated.

Hi from Karen Smith nee BROWN from New Zealand - email - ksmith@mail2world.com. Trying to trace & make contact with descendants and family.
My grandfather, JOHN MULARKIE BROWN, was born in Bathgate 10 Jan 1915, at 10 Engine Street Bathgate he moved to South Africa and married FRANCIS KRUGER, they had a son PATRICK BROWN (my father) and a daughter MARION BROWN.
His father was GEORGE BROWN(Publican)Died 11 Nov 1953 Bangour Hospital and his wife HELEN (MULARKIE) BROWN originally from Ireland moved to and lived at 129 East Main Street, Armadale. I believe that most of the family then migrated to Canada.
Any information that could lead me to trace family or descendants will be much appreciated. Please email me.
