I'm looking for any information on the following: George ROBERTSON: Born June 1818 in Old Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland. Married to Jane SMITH, Born, October 30, 1813. Son is George ROBERTSON, born January 3 1844 in Old Aberdeen, Aberdeen Scotland. His wife is Isabella LESLIE, born August,6, 1843 on Old Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland. I'm also looking for information on : Robert GORDON. He was born about 1769. Some records show that he was born in Scotland and others show that he was born in Henrico Co. Virigina. I'm also looking for information on his wife: Mary Duncan or Duncanson, bornaabout 1777. Some records show that she was born in Scotland and others in Henrico Co., Virginia. I've been trying to find information on this family line for years. I would really appreciate any help. Reply to this message   Kirsten Stewart England Mar 20, 2006 Stewart/Whyte/Reid Seeking information on my late grandfathers family. My grandfather was Alexander MacEwan Stewart B: Lumphanan 1932. His mother and father I am led to believe are James Stewart and Elsie Whyte. My grandfather had two brothers; Alan and Andrew and one sister Agnes. He also had one half sister Jeanie Reid and one half brother James Reid (his mothers children). My grandfathers family were travellers/gypsies and travelled around the Aberdeenshire area. Any information would be appreciated. Reply to this message   James Murray Alberta, Canada Mar 20, 2006 Looking for any info. on a family of Murray's that move from Ireland to Scotland and back to Ireland and then to Canada somewhere around 1800 and 1838. The following info is very sketchy but I am hoping it rings a bell with someone. I am looking for info. on Peter's siblings and parents and where they lived in Scotland and Ireland. Peter Murray b. 1778 believed to be in CO. Derry Ireland Married a Jane Carmicheal(McMicheal) of Ireland year unknown. They moved to uknown Scotland before thier children were born. When Ireland was giving land away to populate, I believe the northern part Peter and Jane moved back to unknown Ireland. Their one son Joseph later moved back to Scotland. I believe peter was a sailor and ship builder. By 1838 Peter and Jane moved from Ireland to Maramichi River area in eastern Canada and later to a homestead in Scott County Uxbridge, Ontario Canada. Their son Joseph moved to the Uxbridge area from Scotland in 1843 and homesteaded with his parents. Joseph was born In Ireland 1807. Peter and Jane's other children were Micheal b. CO Derry Ireland, Roseanne, and Peter Jr.. Joseph Married a Elizabeth Marshall b. 1810 in Ireland, in the town of Uxbrige Ontario Canada. All of Peter and Jane's children were raised and stayed in the Uxbridge Area Reply to this message   Michael Melbourne, Australia. Mar 17, 2006 Drummnond. I am seeking info on: David Drummond (1800 - 1871) & his wife Janet (Cameron1793 -1874). David was born in Arrchattan, Argyll and janet, in Killin,Perthshire. Both died in Oban, Argyll. David worked as a gardener on the estates of Inverary & Torrisdale Castles in Argyll. David's father was John Drummond and his mother, Mary McKinnon. Janet's parents were John Alexander Cameron & Beatrice McNab. I have their marriage at 5th June 1874, Tradeston, Glasgow but can't find any record of this event. Have looked up Deaths between 1908 and ----but can't find anything. Married Margaret Kerr 4 Feb 1875 in Holmes, OH. Also John Bruce b. 1 May 1801, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland-(Alexander's Father). John married Jean Cumming b. 10 Jul 1804. Her parents were James MacGregor and Margaret MacDonald, living at Killin in 1860 Finlay's parents were Robert Keir and Janet Stewart. Robert Keir was deceased by 1860, address as Luib, Glendochart, Killin. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
