I am trying to find information on my uncle John McDonald born April 13 1909, Hutchesontown, Glasgow. John's parents were John McDonald and Annie Jane Nimmo. My grandmother did not like his choice of wife, he took off never to be seen or heard from again. I have been told that he was a master joiner by trade and that about 1 year after the war ended that he moved to London. I would like to find out what his wife's name was and if they had any family. Thanks in advance.

Can someone help me get through my 'brick wall'?
JESSIE MACAULAY b 1885 Isle of Lewis, Scotland emigrated to Canada c 1901 and was in North Battleford Saskatchewan in May 1913 when she witnessed the marriage of her sister Christina to Andrew Thomson. Jessie later lived in Alberta (possibly Red Deer) and was married , we believe, to a Mr Butler. It is not known whether they married in Saskatchewan or Alberta. It is also thought that they had a son and a daughter.
Jessie's parents were John MacAulay and Anne Crichton and she had siblings William, John, Angus, Murdo, Ann and Christina. I have recorded all Jessie's siblings families but have not been able to find her family and would be delighted to be able to complete this part of my family tree.
I would be so grateful if someone could help me with this one.
Thanks in advance
