Add a message to this board Boards Menu Search Boards shirley webb new zealand Jul 21, 2002 Hi, my name is shirley webb, maiden name young, I am trying to trace any thing or any one with the name Brand or information on Brand surname. The reason for this is my grandmother was Annie Munro Brand born 21 January 1890 at 13 number 17 Street Auchterderran Fife.She married granddad who was Robert Robertson Young on the 23 December 1910 at the same address where Annie was Born.They had my Father James Young on the 1 February 1912 at number 3 the row Bowhill Auchterderran Fife. My grandmother Annie Munro Young died on the 12 Dceember 1919 from T/B. She died at her mother's place which was 33 Erskine Street Buckhaven. 21 days later her mother died on the 3 January 1920,on the death notice that my father had in his paper's the notice said in loving memory of our mother no husband is mention at the time of Annie Munro Brand's death and her death certificate is signed by a Thomas Brand then beside that it has got son. On grandma's certificate it has father deceased. So I know Annie had at laest 1 brother maybe more. Also on thier marriage certificate 1 of the witnesses who signed was a Nellie Brand who hopefully was Annie's sister. I know they would be very old now or even died but I'm hoping they had chilren who also had chilern,and some one out there recalls this information and it rings bells as I would love to know about my grandmother's family even if it is only small, anything would be gratefully recieved. Hope someone reads this and knowns who this family are and that I do have some relatives out there in Scotland or even in the area of Buckhaven or Fife. The son of John McIntosh and Henrietta Grant. He married Elizabeth McPherson 9 May 1809 in Kingussie. She was christened 6 October 1793 in Kingussie. The daughter of Alexander Mcpherson and Helen McLean Their son Donald, Jr. was born ca. 1810. They left for Canada shortly after. I can use any information about these people. Reply to this message   Joanne Taggart nee (Wallace) Ayrshire Jul 20, 2002 I am searching for James or JIM MAIN as he was known. Jim is my father. I was born Joanne Wallace on 9th Dec 1973 at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. My mother's name was ANNA SMOLCIC, he knows of my existence, but they split up before i was born. She married John Wallace. Jim is thought to have came from Prestwick in Ayrhire and his parents are thought to have come from Doonbank Crescent in Prestwick. he is believed to have worked for Afton Electrics in Ayr and may have had at part time job in a BP garage in Prestwick.Jim will be in his late forties or early fifties. He may also have worked as a taxi driver although this is unconfirmed. If anyone can help i would be really grateful for any information about Jim. Thank You I am now married with three sons and i would like him to know he has three grandsons. We went to alness primary school and then onto Invergordon Academy. I left in 1976 to go to South Africa and am now living in the USA. Their names are Karen Hardy, Maureen Harrower and Joan Macarthur. Have no idea if they are married and changed their names.
