James Overn - born 1798, died May 30, 1879 (In America) Wife - Ann Granger Overn - born 1799, died 1871 of cholera (in America) children: John Overn, born 1822 Margaret Overn, born 1827 Ann Overn, born 1828 James Overn, born 1830 Catherine Overn, born August 23, 1822, died June 26, 1913 (in America) Family history says they were from Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland. HOWEVER, Schooner Congress ship's passenger list says they were from Scotland. Anyone have connections? Judith Reply to this message   june robinson australia Sep 29, 2002 I am looking for imformation on george robertson.b approx 1815 in edinburgh. the story goes that he was sent out to australia by his father, he was caught on the duke o attholl's property. when he came to australia, he married maria sarah hill in gayndah queensland. they had 5 children, agnes jane, david benjamin, george broom, joseph jones, charles struan. apparently they lived around perthshire scotland they were pioneer's of the muskett flats area. near maryborough queensland. He changed his name to robinson, when he arrived in australia. when? ship? or what date or where he came in. would appreciate any imformation. I can not find out who is parents were, But have the children of that marriage. Going on Scottish naming patterns, his parents should be Alexander Black and Jessie Hendry.Can someone Please lookup the marriage certficate and see if there is any data re his parents or where he was born.
