I am looking for a connection with my ggggrandparents Alexander Dempster and his wife Eliza(Don't know her maiden name yet) and they were from Ireland , but Dempster is a Scottish name and I thought that there may be a connection to Scottland.
I was told that I was Scottch- Irish .
Alexander was 57 and his wife was 53 when they came to America with children from Ireland in July 6, 1847.
Alexander's parents may have come from Scottland or their parents. Anyway, I can't find out anything yet.
