Family search for information regarding Sir John Alexander MacDonald, b. 01/11/1815 in Glasgow, Scotland, emigrated to Canada in 1820. Was 1st and 3rd Prime Minister of Canada 07/01/1867- 11/05/1873 & 10/17/1878 - 06/06/1891. Died in office 06/06/1891, buried in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Married in 1843 to Isabella Clark (b.1811-1856, had two daughters, one who died in infancy. Married 1867 to Susan Agnes Bernard (b. 1836-1920).
John's father's name possibly Alexander MacDonald, b. abt 1790, Strathy, Sutherlandshire, Scotland.
Looking for any siblings of John Alexander MacDonald, birth/baptismal registrations, any information.
John Alexander MacDonald was somehow related to my great great grandmother, Janet (McDonell. McDonnell, McDonald, MacDonald), b. abt 1842, Ontario, Canada, married to John Pierson.
Any information regarding these folks is more than appreciated. Thank you. |
