Add a message to this board Boards Menu Search Boards gayla Abdereenshire to Canada Jan 19, 2003 Looking for any infomation on: Robert Allan born in Scotland married to Margaret Brown who was also born in Scotland. Child: James Allan born 10 Oct 1807 in Aberdeenshire married Catherine Gregg/Greig (parents were James Gregg/Greig and Margaret Stuart) James Allan migrated to Canada from Scotland in 1834. He settled near Peterborough, Canada and engaged in the gristmilling business. Mr and Mrs Allan moved from Canada to the vacinity of buffalo NY, where they resided about 40 years. In the early 1800's they came to Sylvan Twp and resided with their eldest son, Charles Stuart a pioneer of sylvan Twp. James Allan was a miller by trade. Any information is appreciated I also have names of James's children. I am looking for a girl from Edinburgh who would now be in her late 20's or early 30's. she was visiting Orlando,Florida in 1990 or 1991 with her parents. We were in a rock and roll nightclub (both with our parent(s) at the time) in Kissimee Florida called Little Darlins. Gary US Bonds was there at the time performing. We never met while we were there but we made alot of eye contact ( or at least what i thought was alot of eye contact at that age) but we never officially met while we were there. Later in the evening someone came around selling flowers for the women in the club. I was approached and asked if i wanted to buy a flower for the young lady but i foolishly declined being too embarrassed. Well i have always regretted it and i would still like to give her that flower someday so if anyone can help me i would appreciate it! They left Scotland and took up residents in Canada, specificly New Brunswick, (Carleton). The village they lived in is Benton. My Great Grandfater was named John S. Murray, his wife was Marion Theresa Moore. Their children were George Donald Murray (My grandfather), Helen Murray, Jeanette Murray and Margret Murray. I want to know more about Geoge Murry and Margrett. Where in Scotland did they come from, when did they leave and why? any help would be appreciated Reply to this message   Evelyn McIntyre Scotland Jan 12, 2003 Does anyone know the whereabouts of Sandra McIntyre or Leonard, she may have a different name. She was either fostered or adopted in the earl 50's. I just want her to know that her birth parents are deceased now, and the only living relatives now are 2 sisters and 2 aunts from the fathers side, and 1 half sister from the mothers side.
