My grandad Robert Casey was born in Stockton on Tees N.East England, he joined the K.O.S.B 1912, he was at Gallipoli then sent back into France for the Somme offensive were he fell badly wounded 1st day of the battle, the wounds he recieved that day were to lead to his early death
in 1939 aged 43, we his grandchildren never got to see our grandad and no family photos seem to exist, my grandad Robert served with other lads from our town Stockton on Tees but i'm sure he would have made made friends with lads both sides of the border, and i know the Caseys had relatives living in and around the Glasgow area and he may have visited them whilst on leave or going home with mates from Glasgow and about, i'm asking if any one has old photos of the K.O.S.B taken around 1912-14 please look and check if they are signed with lads names, its a long shot i know but one worth trying, my grandad was Robert Casey Pte 6371 K.O.S.B 1912-18
also i know that the 1st Casey to leave Ireland went to Scotland, he married Mary Ann O'Brien they had several children Elizabeth, James, Margret, Sarah would love to hear from any one with a Casey connection at all, all the best Derek d.casey31@ntlworld.com |

Looking for my long lost dad. His name is Colin Willoughby. Last I know is that he was living in Partick. He would be about 38 or 39 now. My mum was Pamela Shields. Havent seen him since I was 8. I know he lived in Ibrox for a long period of time, and that he lived in a boys hostel when he was younger. Anyone with any information, please get in touch. |
