JOHN MCGREGOR
My brick wall is John McGregor born c1790 in Perthshire Scotland. Father John Row McGregor, mother (according to death Certificate) Mary McDonald. Trouble is, according to the Scottish Registrar there were no John McGregors born to John and Mary (McDobald). Where to now? Can anyone help? |

Looking for any information about Charlie Third, born in Glasgow (Govan?)around 1936, to Charles "Chuck" Third and Isabella "Tibby" Third (nee Grant). Tibby died in 1936 and I think Chuck may have taken the little boy and moved back to Edinburgh to be closer to family. They returned to Glasgow to visit a few times, but then lost touch. Charlie would have been my father's cousin.
Any information on Charlie Third or his family would be greatly appreciated.

Seeking any descendants GRANT originated from EDINBURGH
JOHN GRANT a brassfounder married EUPHEMIA NELSON
their sons GEORGE NELSON GRANT b 1841
GEORGE NELSON married (1) MARY PLEWS STREET 1863
son EDWARD PLEWS GRANT b 1865 Mary died l866
George remarried 1868 to MARY HANNAH COPELAND
their daughter MABEL GRANT b.1874 my grandmother
Edward Grnt married but had no issue, were there any other children apart from Edward and Mabel?
if so, could there be other descendants out there
if there are, please contact me, any information would be most welcome.
George moved at an unknown date to Derby where he was employed as a travelling postman, his daughter Mabel was sent to Canada in 1889, why?
did Mary Hannah die, when & where, have been unable to trace her death on Scots records
George was on the 1901 census, now living in Bermondsey with wife Annie! obviously remarried yet again
I would love to solve the mystery as to why my grandmother had been `put away`

I am tracing records relating to CHARLES MCLEAN (MC CLEAN) born about 1877, Dumbarton, Scotland. His parents were Charles (George) MC CLEAN) and JANE MURRAY). Charles McLean (my great grandfather) married and died in Queensland, Australia.
