Am trying to trace ancestors from Tyrone in Ireland but understand that the surname of Mcgorlick is not an Irish name. In my family tree I have a Roger Mcgorlick who married Unity Mennamin, their son Charles was born in Tyrone, Ireland about 1800. Charles married Rose Boyd in Tyrone and had children Charles, Daniel, William, Mary Jane and James all of who emigrated to Victoria Australia around 1851.

If anyone reading this notice is connected to the name Mcgorlick I would love to hear from you.

Thankyou,
Leslie

I am searching for information on my GGrandmother and her family. Her name was Mary Stuart, born 1844 in Scotland, I don't know where, but she married a man named Mccollum and emigrated to Canada before 1862, they had 2 children born in Canada and then they moved to the state of Minnesota in the US and she had 3 more children. Her husband died and she married my GGrandfather James Morris in Minnesota and had 3 children with him, som of the Mccollum children were named , Neil, James, Christina, Mary, Henry and Duncan. Does anyone have access to any info on this family or where they came from? Thanks, Dianna Gray

I'm looking for information on the birth parents of Donald MCLEAN, born @1846 in either Salford, Lancs (if you believe FamilySearch) or Glasgow, Scotland (if you believe the 1881 Scottish census). His mother was Agnes McDonald, dob unknown. On Donald's marriage to Mary Helen SCOTT in Govan (1870), his father is given as John MCLEAN (deceased), sailor, merchant service, but on Donald's 1903 death certificate it states he was illegitimate and the "reputed" father was Donald MCLEAN (deceased), marine engineer. Agnes had also died by 1903 and the death was registered by one of Donald's sons, Lauchlan.
I am absolutely stuck here, seem to have tried every combination of name, area and birth date in the Scottish records, so anyone out there with suggestions as to where to go next?
Many thanks.. good luck with your own searches!
