His mother was BERYL PANSY DAVIDSON born 20TH APRIL 1925 in MAYMYO, BURMA She was the 4th of 11 children to Florence Leonara Hutchinson-Lopez and ROBERT GEORGE DAVIDSON. ROBERT GEORGE was born on 28 OCT 1892 in SHULLAPOOR< INDIA to WILLIAM DAVIDSON and his wife whose name we do not know at present. ROBERT also had a brother named WILLIAM HUGH DAVIDSON who married a sister of Florence. Robert was a Railway Driver and based at Rangoon when he and Florence married in Yamethin in 1919 WILLIAM DAVIDSON was born on 5th AUG 1856 at 28 DEAN STREET, EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND to WILLIAM DAVIDSON and ELIZABETH RANKINE. He was the 2nd of three sons that we know of. The other two sons were GEORGE RANKINE DAVIDSON born 8TH NOV 1861 EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND and JOHN DAVIDSON DAVIDSON (not a typing error there - this is his full name) born 31ST JAN 1848 EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND. Elizabeth and William were married on 25 May 1846 in St Cuthbert's Church in Edinburgh. Elizabeth is the daughter of George Rankine and Mary Caw. William (b 1856) went over t India at some time before 1892 with his wife (we think) and that is where both the sons that we know of were born. He died 1929 in Newmore, ROC at the age of 68/69. They had eleven children born from 1889 onwards. He gave his parents names as Findlay ROSS and Margaret MacLennan on his marriage certificate. Gardner BROWN who was living at 38 Forrester Road - Edinburgh - in 1950. His mother was Christina Fraser Brown, one aunt was Elsie Fraser BRYCE (died Dec 1950) and an uncle was Charles Henry FRASER (died June 1949). This family resided at the Forrester Road address for many years. Anyone in Edinburgh that remembers this family? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, A. F. He was one of my recruits in 26 Troop Royal Signals, at Catterick? or Gallowgate Camp, Richmond? in Yorkshire. I have just come across a postcard from him dated 24thJuly 1955 from Glasgow, saying All the Best E A Gowan of 26 Troop. ( Electoral Rolls or Trade Directories) I need to know if William and Anastasia Callander were there in the years 1907, 1908. and 1909? The last address I have for them was 50 North Park Street in 1899. William worked in the Hotel Trade as Waiter, and Silver Plate Cleaner. I am willing to do a lookup for you in Liverpool if required?
