I am looking for any members of these squadrons that remember my Uncle, Charles Smith Cook.He was often called "Chick" or because of his boxing, the "brown bomber". My father told me that that sometime between 1940-1943 there was a photo of Charlies' crew and Lancaster printed in an Edinburgh newspaper. They were standing in front of the plane along with the Lord Provost of Edinburgh.I would love to hear from anyone that has memories of my Uncle or any of the families of his fellow crew members listed below. If anyone could be kind enough to find the photo I have mentioned I would be so grateful. I'd like to be able to show it to my father,Charlies' brother.

I am wondering if I might be able to get in touch with a girlfriend of mine from school through your website. Her name was Hilda Bruce, the last time I heard from her she was engaged to a pre-med student in Glasgow. His last name was Madden, I forget his first name. We were friends at Garscadden Primary School in Glasgow. I lost touch with her because I moved house and so did she at the same time and I never got her new address. If she sees this, or anyone who knows where she is, I would appreciate getting in touch again.

I would also like to get in touch with a girlfriend of mine from Drumchapel. We went to Kingsridge School together. Her name was Helen Mackie. I don't know whether she is married or not. I would love to get in touch with either or both of them.

Thanks.
