Looking for the daughter of James Cape, born sometime between 1944 and 1946, in England. The only other thing I can tell you is James was in Tidworth during this time period and his daughter would have been born in or around this area. Mother and daughters name are unknown. Thank you Lewis |

hi, I am trying to contact relatives of the late HARRY WILSON SWINSON (my grandfather), or his sister FLORENCE SWINSON, born in England? & maybe of South Africa later? Harry was a Merchant Seaman when he arrived in Australia about 1942. He gave his birthplace as Sunderland, Durham, England and father George. On naval papers he says Sunderland, Sth Africa! (Partly for medical reasons. Harry married Kathleen Bryant in ADELAIDE, STH AUSTRALIA in November
1946.
When Harry registered Raymond's Swinson (my father) birth in BURRA, STH AUSTRALIA [1951] he
gave his birthplace as SUNDERLAND, DURHAM, ENGLAND. We are just a little
confused! Age estimated from official certificates is c1920.
Does anyone know of harry or flourence?
thankyou in advance
hannah
After their father died (from heart problems) in June 1958 at Burra
Hospital, Sth Australia, Desmond remembers that the family received
letters from their Aunty Florence; he thinks from Johannesburgh. |
