Jean MorleyWest HamDec 20, 2003
Jean was born in 1929 and spent the first year of her life in a Mother Baby Home with her mother. Mother and baby were separated after this time and Jean was adopted in 1931
The Mothers name is/was Ada Irene Morley born in 1906 in West Ham, she called herself Irene.
No trace has been found of Ada Irene Morley since 1930 when she left the Mother Baby Home.
Are there any living relatives out there? Just one would do. Thanks |

My half sister was born 25 October 1938. Our mother was S.Meerten single about 17 years old. Birth record shows my half sister was called Gloria Meerten. Address at the time was 5 Lathom Road Southport. Fathers name not given. Half sister applied for adoption records but she was informed none were found so likely there is none! I have a photo of a young man no name in a British Military uniform. Im suspecting it was taken spring of 1938 but one can never really know for sure. I only learned of my half sister in 1995 upon the death of our mother. She never once ever told me about her. Am happy to share the photo with anyone who may recognize the surname. My mothers family were from Rochdale/Manchester/Salford etc. Thanks for allowing me to post. Mrs. D. |
