Bob Ford from Kingston Seymour Somerset is trying to trace the relative of Ford of the Artic Expedition who comes from Ireland and contacted his cousin. The rector who had the gentlemans details threw it out by accident! If you are that person please email the above and I can give Bob the details, Thanks |

In a book it stated my lineage Joshua Parkes family moved from the Firth of Fifth into Ireland, can anyone tell me what that means? He was in Bedford county, Tn no later than 1815 and he had children listed born in NC/SC. Some of the names are, Robert, Jefferson, James, John, Eleanor, Sarah, Cynthia, and Margaret. I am trying to find his birthdate, etc, also on his wife Sarah. I don't have marriage date either.
Thank you

Looking for John Callaghan born late 1800. Lived for some time in Clonakilty Co Cork Ireland. Also lived in Bantry Co Cork. I am thinking that he came from the West of Ireland. Seemingly he was a Tinsmith to trade. He was married to a Bridget Conor or O'Connor. They had a Daughter born
16-01-1910. Her name was Margaret Mary Callaghan She got married to a man from Tipperary called Joseph Curtin. He went to an Industrial School Artane in Co Dublin Eire. Margaret Mary also went to an Industrial School in Cork which was called the Good Sheperd's. would like some information on these people. Thank you |

Can anyone help me, or suggest how I find which regiment was stationed in Northern Ireland in 1946-1950 odd.
Husbands Grandfather was here at this time after the war and the first child was born 1946, so they may have arrived earlier, but we are do not know which regiment he was serving with, just know it was the British Forces and he was born in Camberwell London in 1991, died 1991.
Many Thanks

I have had little success locating my Great Great Great Grandfather Michael Ford's family in Ireland. An elderly relative just gave me the information that Ford or Forde is not the original surname. She told me Ford is Kina in Ireland and is an anglisicisation of MacConshnamha. I know Michael Ford was born around 1830 in the Catholic Parish of Elphin and the civil parish of Kiltrustan in County Roscommon. He married Catherine McDonough around 1834. My question is for this time period, would I look for Kina or MacConshnamha?
Thank You. Ellen |
