I am looking for information on my g.g.g. grandfather JAMES REGAN he was born abt 1825 in LIMERICK. His parents were DANIEL FARMER (composer)? and CATHERINE HEARLEY. Daniel arrived in the state of Victoria Australia when he was abt 14 years old where he married CATHERINE FARMER, born abt 1831 in FERMANAGH in 1849. Catherine's father was JAMES FARMER as stated on her death certificate, there is no name listed for her mother. But on their marriage certificate there is Jane Farmer who was a witness to their marriage. James and Catherine had twelve children born in Vict. and NSW. I have no idea how James came to be in Australia or if he came with any family so any information regarding this family would be most appreciated.

My gggrandfather, Michael Lyons came to the US with his wife Ann Donahue Lyons about 1848 -1850 and settled in Providence Rhode Island. Family lore says they lost a child, James, on their trip here. They may have come through Canada or Boston but I can find no record of them. Can anyone help? Anybody know of a Lyons family which settled in Providence, RI? Thank you.

I have been trying to find any info on my mother's family for some years now. All I have so far is that my grandfather, James Irwin O'loan, was born in Warwick, Qld and died in Ayr at age 77. His father was Edmund James O'loan (1870-1943). Edmund's father was Hugh O'loan born 1838 in Bealleymena, Ireland, died 1914 in Sandgate, Qld.

This is all I have. If my family info connects at all with yours, I would really appreciate you getting in contact with me.

Downey / Keegan Ballymahon, Longford, Ireland May 08, 2008
My gggrandmother was Catherine DOWNEY, b. 1835 in Longford County, Ireland. She married Christopher KEEGAN, b. 1831 also in Longford.

Catherine and Christopher had six children, all born in Ballymahon: Catherine, Anna (my ggrandmother), Bridget, Christina, Teresa and Christopher Downey.

The 1901 Ballymahon Poor Law Union census shows Catherine and Christopher living in Creevagh Beg, Ballymahon with their daughter Bridget. Christopher's profession is listed as "meason" (sic).

If anyone can share any information about the Ballymahon Downeys or Keegans I'd be very grateful.

I'm looking for someone who would be willing to do a look-up for me in Bangor Co Down.

I'm looking for the death certificate of Winnifred Aiken, she died about 1995 in Bangor, Co Down but she was born in Belfast. Her father should be listed as Patrick Farrell. I think she would have been born about 1910 - 12. Sorry I can't be more accurate. Thanks in advance to anyone who can respond.
