I am a granddaughter searching for my grandmother. She gave birth to my father in 1952/53 in County Meath-born Patrick. Her name is believed to be Kathleen Garry. She was forced to give him up; he was adopted in the United States. |

Dear Friends
I work for Leopard Films, a well respected independent film maker. We are currently making a factual series for BBC1 about the experiences of foundlings, adoptee and other people trying to trace their loved ones. The series is presented by Kate Adie herself an adoptee. It is an emotional and sensitive exploration of extraordinary stories. Where families have been separated from their loved ones and have been reunited or are in the process of searching.
Our series will feature the personal stories of foundlings and adoptee and those closest to them, as well as those whose lives they’ve touched, such as foster carers and adoptive parents and siblings or people who might have discovered them as babies.
In each programme, we will present the stories of individual cases taking their stories from birth to the present day by using interviews, press archive and reconstruction filming. We are hoping footage concerning long-ago abandonment’s will trigger memories and calls from the public. Special BBC telephone helpline numbers will be broadcast several times during each programme and NORCAP will be on hand to deal with all initial viewer contact. NORCAP will, of course, use their expertise to ensure their members are protected from hoaxers or anyone with questionable motives.
If you think you can help with our research we would be delighted to hear from you. There would be absolutely no pressure to take part in filming.
You can get in contact by telephone, email or post. Please call me on: 0870 4204232. If you do not get through straight away, please leave a message and a good time to call, and one of our team will ring you back. Our email is janeayoade@leopardfilms.com. You can also contact me by post at:

Looking for birth mother I was adopted in New Orleans through Catholic Charities at 9 months and data suggests I was born in Ireland, a "banished baby"on March 26, 1953. Would like to reconnect but
will require hard proof, eg papers or info re:birth,
distinguishing characteristics etc. |

Helping a young woman born in Wales (now living in Japan) seek her roots. Her bmum Christine Jennifer Eyre gave birth in Wrexham but was living in Mynydd Llandegai near Bangor in 1969. It appears that there was also a Martin Eyre also living there at the time who was approximately 45-50 years old (possibly Christine's father?). Can anyone help? A search has been carried out in England/Wales for the births of Martin and Christine but nothing has been found. There is also a connection with an Ann Sanner in 1969 in Mynydd Llandegai - again nothing definite found - she could be the owner of the property the Eyre couple lived in.

Trying to trace or find out any information about Philomena Margaret Mary Tiernan. Think she was born about 1935 and during 1954-56 was definately in North London. She came from Dublin. |

Hi
I'm trying to trace Marcella (known as Cella) Quinn. She was born circa 1922 - not sure where as can't trace birth certificate. She worked as a teacher in Studley, Warwickshire in 1954 and had a baby called Patricia Mary on 31st March 1954 in Dublin. Does anyone out there know of her? |
