Looking for my grandmother, named ANNIE FLORENCE DAVIDSON in 1945. She came from Ballymena Dunnganon Co. Tyrone. In the early 1940's, she lived at 38 Leyham Gardens, Kensington W8 (London) and worked as a waitress.
On Oct 28 1945, she gave birth to a son in a "convalescant home" in Coombe Down, Bath. She named the boy ROBERT WILFRED DAVIDSON.
The boy was kept in an orphanage(Hope Lodge?) in Guildford until July 1947. His gaurdian was SISTER I WILLIAMSON. He was then adopted by CYNTHIA AND BERNARD THOMS and renamed HAMISH JAMESON THOMS. |
