I am searching for Schamus/Shamus/Seamus Steven (James)Breslin. His sister has been searching for him for many years and is most desperate to know what became of him. He ran away from home in Ireland at a young age and the family believed he went to England but was unable to locate him. If you have any information at all on this person please contact the included address so that you may be put in touch with the family. They now reside in the United States and are longing to hear about their loved one. |

I am seeking descendents of Daniel and Sarah Kearney, married in Lurgan, County of Armagh,Norther Ireland in about 1850 - 1864. Her maiden surname was Gaskin. They had at least two children that I am aware of - Mary Kearney born 17 May 1864 and James Kearney born 7 May 1871.Both children were born in Lurgan, Armagh. James was married in Ireland to woman named May (surname unknown) and they emigrated to Canada in 1926 to be with their son James Kearney who had arrived in Canada five years previous and had settled in Rainy River, Ontario. They had other children as well. One daughter with the married name P. Macdonald was the first of their children to emigrate to Canada and also lived in Rainy River. They had two other daughters Sadie and another believed to be named Catherine. Another of their sons named Robert Kearney remained in Ireland and lived in 1926 at 61 Clementine Street, in Belfast.
Any information would be appreciated.

My great-grandfather, Michael Devaney, was born in Ireland in 1847...I believe in Croom County... and moved to Rush Hill, Audrain County, Missouri when he was 12 years old. He married Nellie (Ellen) Turner Tucker, and they lived there until his death. He had two brothers that I am aware of...Patrick, who also lived in Missouri, and James. I recently received a copy of Michael's death certificate which listed his parents as P. Devaney and Bridget Rourke. I would love to learn more about them. Does anyone have information on this branch of the Devaney family? |
